Battlefield 3 Weapon Attachments Tweaks
About: Battlefield 3 Weapon Attachments Tweaks
What’s up guys, Andrea Rene here bring you your news on Clevver Games. In a post on Reddit, Coregamplay designer from DICE, Alan Kertz, detailed some changes he would like to make for weapons in Battlefield 3. They understand some of the attachments need tweaks and the changes are proposed, but they want your feedback before anything is finalized.
Some of the attachments looked at being tweaked include foregrip, suppressor, heavy barrel, and flash suppressor. The bipod would be buffed, which DICE is hoping will up the popularity of the device and it will become faster to deploy. They understand it has a large penalty because you need to be stationary so they are working on making it more beneficial for Carbines and Assault Rifles, and perhaps even LMG weapons.
The Heavy Barrel would see a max range increase as DICE has recognized that the penalty to recoil and deviation makes the aimed accuracy increase useless. So they want to scrap the recoil penalty all together but plan to keep the auto fire accuracy penalty.
The Flash Suppressor would receive reduced recoil as part of the tweaks, because let’s face it, who really uses Flash Suppressor anyway? DICE wants to change that so they would allow the Flash Suppressor to work as a recoil Compensator, sort of a middle ground between the Suppressor and Heavy Barrel.
If you are using the Suppressor, you’ll know the main penalty is bullet speed but you get a 50% bonus to aimed accuracy. DICE would tweak the penalties to make sure this over used attachment doesn’t become overpowered.
